W2RRC · July 8, 2023 · 4 Comments

ARKANSAS EVENING CITIZENS BAND GROUP is an inclusive community welcoming radio enthusiasts to engage in conversations, exchange, purchase, sell, and trade various radio-related items. Our primary aim is to encourage and support all forms of radio communications while fostering an enjoyable environment for everyone involved in this hobby. Don’t hesitate to share pictures of your radio equipment, radio shacks, antennas, and more on our Facebook page. Whether you wish to buy, sell, or trade any radio-related items, this is the place to do so. We maintain a respectful atmosphere by refraining from derogatory remarks about others’ communication choices or equipment preferences.

11 Meter Net/Citizens Band (CB) – Daily
Daily, 7 days a week at 7:00 PM
Channel 1 @ 26.965 AM
Open to all.

Net Manager and the primary net control is Redbone. This is a good clean net for anyone that would like to get their feet wet in radio communications.

CB radio offers the following differences over amateur radio:

  1. Simplicity: CB radio is easier to operate and doesn’t require a license in many countries.
  2. Cost: CB radio equipment is generally more affordable.
  3. Availability: CB radios are widely available at electronics stores and online.
  4. Short-range communication: CB radios are suitable for local or regional communication.
  5. Informal conversations: CB radio is commonly used for casual chats among individuals with common interests.

These are some of the differences that make CB radio a popular choice for those seeking simple, affordable, and accessible radio communication over shorter distances.

It was quite a surprise to be able to hear you so clearly. And thank you for taking my check in on your net. Your signal was 5db over a 3db noise floor, and audio was 100%
though conditions were fading in and out. Will try to check in again when favourable conditions avail. 73 from Radio Canada 103 Vancouver
