White River Radio & Communications Group & Happy Hams Net Present: “Meet & Greet & POTA”

Batesville, AR – The White River Radio & Communications Group, in collaboration with the Happy Hams Net, is excited to announce the “Meet & Greet & POTA” event. This special gathering is set for April 20, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the picturesque Kennedy Park in Batesville, Arkansas. As part of the International Spring POTA Support Your Parks weekend, this event offers a unique blend of radio and communications activities, set against the stunning backdrop of the White River.

Kennedy Park, with its beautiful riverbank location, provides the ideal setting for attendees to engage in a variety of radio-related activities. The event is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for all, featuring ADA-compliant facilities, restroom access, and a children’s play area.

For those interested in extending their participation, the pavilion is reserved until 10:00 PM for late-shift park activations. The day’s highlights include dual POTA activations at the Civil War Trail (K-7435) and the Southwest Trail (K-7436), with multiple stations available for amateur radio use.

A tailgate swap meet will also take place, offering attendees the chance to exchange or acquire new radio and communication equipment. This event welcomes individuals with a passion for all aspects of radio communication, including Amateur Radio, Citizens Band (CB), GMRS, and FRS.

In keeping with the community spirit of the event, we will provide water and basic snacks for all participants. This is a day for everyone to come together, share their interest in radio, and enjoy the great outdoors.

The collaboration between the White River Radio & Communications Group and the Happy Hams Net underscores our shared commitment to fostering a vibrant radio communication community. Whether you’re a seasoned operator or new to the hobby, this event is a fantastic opportunity to “Play Radio & Have a Good Time!”

  • Radiogram Lecture: – 11:00AM by KB9ELS
