CB radio offers the following differences over amateur radio:

- Simplicity: CB radio is easier to operate and doesn’t require a license in many countries.
- Cost: CB radio equipment is generally more affordable.
- Availability: CB radios are widely available at electronics stores and online.
- Short-range communication: CB radios are suitable for local or regional communication.
- Informal conversations: CB radio is commonly used for casual chats among individuals with common interests.
These are some of the differences that make CB radio a popular choice for those seeking simple, affordable, and accessible radio communication over shorter distances.
