We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Field Day 2024, hosted by the White River Radio and Communication Group! Mark your calendars for June 22-23, as we gather once again at the same fantastic location as last year.
Reflecting on last year’s Field Day, we were overjoyed by the incredible turnout and the vibrant community spirit. With 43 participants, including 33 visitors and 10 operators, the event exceeded all expectations. Debbie (callsign: KI5QQG) and her team did an outstanding job of spreading the word, bringing local officials, emergency personnel, and many eager participants to experience the world of ham radio.
This year, we aim to make the event even better! We will have our “Get on the Air” (GOTA) station ready for both newcomers and seasoned operators to enjoy. Noel, Tank, and a dedicated team of volunteers will be on hand to assist and share their knowledge.
We’ll have multiple stations set up for the contest portion, covering SSB, FT8, and CW. With around 10 antennas strategically placed, we’ll ensure optimal communication capabilities across all bands and frequencies.
Food, drinks, and snacks will be plentiful, keeping everyone well-fed and hydrated throughout the 24-hour event.
